Although still challenged by delayed office re-entry, national office market indicators show the beginnings of a recovery this last quarter – office leases increased, occupancy losses slowed and space was removed from the sublease market.
Office users are reconsidering the use of space after their employees have gotten accustomed to remote working environments. Collaboration and socialization areas that have a welcoming feel (and large enough for safe distancing practices if needed) are important factors to be considered.
Drawbacks
While vaccinations are increasing, the recent increase of COVID-19 cases is causing some companies to delay their return-to-office dates out and instead will continue to have remote and/or hybrid options for their employees.
