We think you’re a big deal
At the Quad Cities Chamber, every ribbon cutting and business celebration we host is more than just the big scissors and a photo op—it’s a symbol of growth, momentum and pride in our region. Maybe you’re opening your doors for the first time, finally expanding your space or marking a major milestone or anniversary. Whatever your big moment is, we’re here to shine a spotlight on your success.
“Chamber membership comes with a range of benefits for your business. But one of the most visible—and most powerful—is the opportunity to host a ribbon cutting or business celebration,” said Deanna Jensen-Valliere, Manager, Member Engagement for the Chamber. “It’s our way of telling the QC that we see you, we support you. And we want the whole region to know your story.”
When you schedul
e a celebration with us, we bring more than just the ribbon. We bring a team dedicated to helping you share your news—online, in-person and across the QC.
Chamber member, Meghan Dorothy, Business & Marketing Manager at River Cities Engineering, said, “I’m always so thrilled to see such a great Chamber turnout for business celebrations in the QC. When we moved to a new building, we didn’t think of these events for an existing QC company like ours. With that being said, we were thrilled to have the Chamber here to help us announce our renovation and relocation.” Dorothy added that when the Chamber posted and shared the celebration on social media, it helped River Cities expand beyond their own followers. “We’ve been in Davenport for over 20 years, but many still don’t know who we are and what we do. Chamber celebrations are key in getting the QC to ask those questions.”
Rich Whitaker, Jr., Ph.D., CEO at Vera French Community Mental Health Center, agrees that Chamber business celebrations create excitement and bring awareness to local businesses and organizations. "When we announced to the community the opening of a new clinic location (Sheridan Springs, Pine Meadows and Duck Creek), the rededication of a historic building (Central Park), or a major addition to a building (Carol Center and Central Park), we looked to the Quad Cities Chamber to make it a true community celebration," he said. "Their ribbon cuttings always bring a ton of Chamber reps who are personable, professional and energetic - and make each one a memorable event. It’s no secret that Vera French loves the Quad Cities Chamber," he said.
Tyler Mitchell, M.A., B.A., Director of Development at The Project said, "Having the Quad Cities Chamber with us for our mural ribbon cutting was such an honor. Their presence really shows that you have the QC business community behind you, and in a region like ours that's critical. I'd highly recommend that any member take advantage of a Chamber ribbon cutting to create a moment of excitement you'll never forget!"
Over the past year, the Chamber has held over 70 ribbon cuttings and business celebrations.
