New Era for Small & Minority Businesses
Small and minority-owned businesses have always been at the heart of the Quad Cities economy — and now the QC Chamber is bringing fresh energy and intention into helping them grow and succeed.
The Chamber has dedicated additional staff time, expertise and resources to fuel the growth of entrepreneurs and small business owners. This renewed focus means more programs that are relevant, accessible and tailored to the realities of running a business in today’s market.
From our Small & Minority Business MeetUp and our Minority Business Summit, to roundtables and expert series events, the Chamber is designing solutions with business owners — not just for them. Efforts will also focus on raising the visibility of diverse entrepreneurs and ensuring they have the tools, mentorship and market connections to compete and thrive.
“We know the hustle it takes to run a business,” said James Porter, Vice President, Small & Minority Business. “That’s why we’re putting the right people, programs and platforms in place to make sure our small and minority-owned businesses have the support they need to succeed.”
The Chamber invites business owners to engage with this new wave of programming, share their ideas and help shape future offerings.
“Gone are the days when small businesses had to navigate challenges alone,” said Joanna Drake, Manager Small & Minority Business. “We want to hear from you. We will listen, connect and help you access opportunities that will make a real difference in your growth, ensure your voice is heard and that the organizations supporting you are uplifted.”
