Legislative updates from the Government Affairs team

The Quad Cities Chamber's Government Affairs team on Feb. 19 provided members with updates from Des Moines, Springfield and Washington, D.C. Topics included: legislation moving through the Iowa Statehouse, a recap of Governor Pritzker’s State of the State and Budget Address and relevant federal news from our congressional delegation. 

Jake Ford, Director of Government Affairs, also highlighted the Chamber's new bill tracker, designed to keep members informed of our positions on legislation in Iowa and Illinois. The page will be regularly updated, and bills are organized by state in the following categories: COVID-19 response, economic development, business climate and taxation, education and workforce development, transportation and infrastructure and healthcare.
