Volunteers of the year being awarded at annual meeting

The Regional Champion of Change award was presented to Jeff and Regina Goldstein at the Quad Cities Chamber's 2025 Annual Meeting. The couple are founders of the Jeff and Regina Goldstein Foundation. Jeff Goldstein is the Chairman and CEO of Alter Logistics, and is the fourth generation to lead the company, which was established by his grandfather and great-grandfather in 1898.

Their foundation and personal giving support a wide range of organizations, including Common Chord, Visit Quad Cities, United Way Quad Cities, Quad Cities Community Foundation, Living Lands & Waters, Birdies for Charity and West End Revitalization in Rock Island. The Goldsteins are long-time supporters of the Quad Cities Chamber and now, of Grow Quad Cities.

Through philanthropy and personal engagement, Jeff and Reggie have made a lasting impact on the region. They are steadfast advocates for community growth, dedicating their time and resources to initiatives that strengthen the Quad Cities and inspire the next generation to live, work and build a future here. Their passion for retaining and attracting young people to the area speaks to their vision of a thriving, sustainable community.

"The main thing that Reggie and I have been focused on for the last few years is what it takes to retain or attract young people to come to this community and stay," said Jeff Goldstein. "That's what we've been looking at, and we want to support efforts that improve this situation," he added. "It's one thing to have a great place to work, but you also want to have a great place to live - that's why we support quality of life initiatives, like improving neighborhoods," he said.

"Whether through leadership or generosity, the Goldsteins continually lift up others and set a powerful example of what it means to invest in the future of a region," said Peter Tokar III, Quad Cities Chamber President & CEO.
