In Illinois, the House is back in session; we anticipate bills to be filed and committee assignments made
Two Illinois laws are being challenged in the Illinois Supreme Court: the assault weapons ban and the SAFE-T Act, which ends the cash bail system
In Iowa, partially de-regulating the state’s energy market is being discussed
We're hosting an advocacy trip to Des Moines this week with business and community leaders

In Illinois, the House is back in session this week. Expect hundreds of bills to be filed as the legislature gets back.
Both the Assault Weapons Ban and the SAFE T act are facing challenges before the Illinois Supreme Court. Committee assignments will likely be made this week as the budget making process gets underway.
In Iowa, partially deregulating the state’s energy market is a topic taking shape in the Legislature.
The Chamber is hosting a bus trip to the Iowa Capitol this week.
