Government Affairs Update

What we're watching this week:

• The Illinois Senate committees and Illinois House committees have been appointed.
• In Iowa, HF1 would require counties and cities to reserve 10% before they can put a bond on a ballot.
• In Iowa, SF181 passed allowing properties formerly classed as multi-family residential to match residential property rates.
• During our Des Moines Capitol visit last week we had productive meetings with Representatives Gary Mohr, Luana Stoltenberg and Mike Vondran; Senator Scott Webster; House Majority Leader Matt Winchell; and House Speaker Pat Grassley.
