Electro Freeze®, a Welbilt® company and a global leader in frozen treat machine innovation and manufacturing, announced its intent to relocate its operations from East Moline to a new facility in Davenport. The estimated capital investment for the project is $16.3 million with 169 jobs retained and approximately 83 future jobs created. This move represents the company’s commitment to growth, innovation and community partnership.

"As a foundational company with more than 100 years in the QC, we are excited that Electro Freeze is expanding their operations,” said Peter Tokar III, President & CEO of Grow Quad Cities. “As the region's regional economic development agency, our number one priority on all business expansion projects is to retain the business locally in the Quad Cities and preserve and expand the jobs they provide to our Quad Citizens. Growing companies are targets for national competition to lure away, which is why our Grow QC team has been working to retain them with a location that fits their current and future business needs. This is an example of how we work with local companies to assist with their business growth, keep our economy strong and ensure we have quality jobs for our residents,” he said.

Electro Freeze’s new location at 8440 N. Zenith Ave, will significantly increase the company’s manufacturing and office space. The relocation will more than double its production capacity, allowing Electro Freeze to meet rising customer demand for its innovative products and services. The relocation will also support the expansion of customer service, technical service and engineering facilities.

“The City of Davenport is happy to welcome Electro Freeze to our community,” said Mayor Mike Matson. “Their decision to keep their talented workforce in the Quad Cities speaks to the opportunities available here to grow and thrive.”

“Relocating to Davenport allows us to operate within a single manufacturing facility while expanding our operational footprint,” said Victoria Campbell, president of Electro Freeze. “This opportunity positions us to better serve our customers, develop new products and continue our expansion into the global market. This is a strategic investment for the future growth of Electro Freeze.”

Electro Freeze has enjoyed being a part of the East Moline community since 1945. The company’s legacy of innovation in the frozen treat industry has driven continuous expansion.

Located 17 miles from its current location, the new facility enables Electro Freeze to continue to support its community, customers and existing employees.

Electro Freeze remains dedicated to delivering the same high-quality equipment and services, with minimal disruption during the transition. All contact information, including phone numbers and email addresses, will remain unchanged.
