Celebrate and support National Small Business Week, April 28 - May 4

Small businesses are the heartbeat of our community and shape the character and vitality of our hometowns. From the corner stores that define our neighborhoods to the cutting-edge startups driving progress, small businesses are the very foundation of our economic strength and the embodiment of the American dream. Over 33 million small businesses across the nation employ over half of all American workers. It's crucial that we support the region's entrepreneurs to help foster economic growth.

This week, the Cities of Bettendorf, Davenport, East Moline, Moline and Rock Island, along with Rock Island and Scott County officials, showed their support for National Small Business Week by making a public proclamation to support this initiative.

• Engaging with small businesses' social media posts and sharing your favorites
• Spreading the word about Small Business Week and encouraging others to get involved
