The Chamber’s Bill Polley receives Certified Analytics Professional - Expert designation

The Chamber congratulates its own Bill Polley, Director of Business Intelligence on his recent certification as a Certified Analytics Professional - Expert (CAP-X). Earners of this badge have met stringent education and work experience requirements and have passed a rigorous, secure examination. It is the highest certification awarded by the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences.

Data professionals who have earned this recognition have demonstrated not only technical skills, but also deeper knowledge of how data creates business impact. The domains of competency include Business & Analytics Problem Framing, Data, Methodology Framing, Analytics Model Development, Deployment and Analytics Life Cycle Maintenance.

"That includes everything from researching labor market data for our business attraction and retention efforts to analyzing foot traffic in the downtowns. Business runs on data, so it is vital to be up-to-date on industry best practices for data analytics," he said.
