Chamber to serve six-county region from one office

February 24, 2021

As we advised businesses to do over the past year, the Quad Cities Chamber has identified financial efficiencies to best deploy its resources. As a result, the Chamber will be serving the Quad Cities region from one office location starting this year. We have been fortunate to work with Ruhl Commercial to identify a tenant to lease our Moline office location through the remainder of its term, which allows us to spend more of our operational dollars on programs and services versus overhead costs. The Chamber will continue to serve businesses in the Quad Cities’ six-county region from its current office located at 331 West 3rd Street in Davenport.

Over the past year, the Chamber adjusted to the new realities and developed methods to continue to serve the region’s business community. Since the pandemic started, our team has worked remotely for nearly 6 months in total helping demonstrate that the physical location of our staff does not impact the area served.

The team will conduct outreach, market the region’s businesses, advocate for local, Illinois and Iowa, and federal issues, and provide resources for businesses no matter their location in the Quad Cities. When the time is right the Chamber will continue to hold programs and events throughout the Quad Cities region.

“The Chamber team wakes up every day to fulfill our mission to create a prosperous regional economy where all can thrive by facilitating business growth,” said Chamber president & CEO Paul Rumler. “As we continue to manage through a challenging time, we are fortunate to have the guidance of the Chamber’s Board of Directors and support from area businesses to ensure we operate in a financially responsible manner. These decisions will help ensure the Chamber can continue to serve the Quad Cities region’s business community for years to come.”

“The Quad Cities Chamber has made important decisions over the past year to effectively and responsibly continue its mission,” said Cathy Edwards, Chamber Board chair and owner of Edwards Creative. “The Chamber continues to step up to serve businesses throughout the Quad Cities region, and because of the Chamber’s work, I believe our region will continue to prosper.”
