Annual Meeting 2025: Together we’re building what’s next

Peter Tokar talks about the look forward at Chamber Annual Meeting

What's next for the Quad Cities Chamber? We laid it all out at our 2025 Annual Meeting, unveiling a bold new framework designed to better serve our members and the region.

"Over the past year, the Quad Cities Chamber set out to make a bold change," said Chamber President & CEO, Peter Tokar III. "We took a thoughtful step back and asked: 'What do our members truly need from us?' After conversations with stakeholders, staff, board members and Chamber members — a clear framework emerged," he said, adding, "We want to make our Chamber membership worth every dollar and every hour our members put into it."

This new framework aims to sharpen the Chamber's focus and will be its anchor moving forward. The Chamber's work will be organized under three strategic pillars that reflect our members' voices, needs and business priorities.

1. Business-to-Business Connections

We’re helping members build meaningful relationships that lead to real business. From signature events like the Annual Meeting and Hob Nosh, to networking at Coffee MeetUp or connecting through our online Member Portal, we want every Chamber interaction to feel like time well spent.

2. Business Advocacy

We are your voice at city halls, in state legislatures and in Washington, D.C. Whether it’s addressing taxes, regulations, infrastructure or workforce challenges — we’re continuously advocating for policies that create a stronger business environment for all.

3. Small and Minority Business Development

We believe the heartbeat of the Quad Cities economy lies in its small and diverse businesses. That’s why we’re bringing new energy and resources to this work. We're dedicating staff resources and time to give you programming that's relevant and rooted in community. From providing tools to grow and educational support, to raising your visibility, we’re designing solutions with you — not just for you.

"It’s been a transformational year at the Chamber and we’re committed to delivering more value for your membership, more connections and more growth – and we're proud to be doing it together, with our members," Tokar said.
