ALM Positioners honored as 2025 Business of the Year

The Quad Cities Chamber honored ALM positioners as Business of the Year at its 2025 Annual Meeting. 

Headquartered in Rock Island, ALM Positioners has been in business for 42 years and continues to stand out as a leader in high-tech manufacturing and innovation. Under the leadership of President and CEO Patrick Pollock, the company has achieved exceptional year-over-year growth, doubling its sales in the past three years and expanding its workforce from 32 to 40 employees.

Known for its advanced positioning equipment used in industrial manufacturing, ALM is focused on helping customers work better, faster, safer and smarter. In recent years, the company has made significant strides in integrating artificial intelligence into its product line, including the launch of VIKI OS—a voice-activated AI operating system that streamlines machine operation and improves productivity on the manufacturing floor.

ALM’s commitment to innovation extends to addressing workforce challenges in the manufacturing sector. The company has successfully integrated collaborative robots (Cobots) with its positioners to help offset the welder shortage, creating smarter solutions that increase throughput while enhancing safety and quality.

Beyond its business achievements, ALM Positioners plays a vital role in strengthening the Quad Cities community. The company has invested more than $350,000 in new technology and automation over the past 24 months and continues to provide high-paying, high-skill jobs that support a globally competitive manufacturing base in the region.
