Education and workforce development, healthcare, transportation and infrastructure: These are just a few of the legislative issues the Quad Cities Chamber knows are important to the region's business community.

To increase business involvement in issues influencing the region's growth, the Chamber is launching a new digital advocacy platform called the Advocacy Action Center. This tool allows Chamber members to engage electronically on issues that matter to them and inform the Chamber of their needs. The Chamber needs the input and support of Quad Cities area businesses to drive an advocacy agenda that will improve the business climate and advance the region's priorities.

Within the Action Center, members may make their voices heard on key legislative issues through surveys, petitions and more. They also may join any of the following advocacy groups:

  • Economic Development group focuses on issues relating to economic growth, such as tax increment financing (TIF) and tax credits
  • Downtowns group focuses on issues concerning the urban cores throughout the Quad Cities
  • Education and Workforce Development group focuses on topics related to PreK-12, community colleges, four-year colleges and universities (public and private) and the talent pipeline
  • Business Competitiveness and Taxation group focuses on core business issues affecting day-to-day operations, such as sales and property taxes
  • Transportation and Infrastructure group focuses on vertical and horizontal projects involving the region's infrastructure and transportation
  • Quality of Life group focuses on topics that improve quality of place and living within the Quad Cities region
  • Healthcare group focuses on issues pertaining to the regional healthcare system
