Featured Priorities

  • Promote investment in key regional infrastructure needs, including rail, bridges, ports, roadways and the Quad Cities Regional Airport.
  • Secure funding for the Critical Supply Chain Site Development Program or similar site readiness initiatives.
  • Advocate for fair trade policies that support the growth and development of Quad Cities businesses and reduce uncertainty.

Workforce

  • Support reauthorization of WIOA with full funding and modernization that maintains and enhances local control.
  • Support bi-partisan changes to the U.S. immigration system that assist employers with difficult-to-fill roles.
  • Grow investment in and incentives for childcare availability and affordability.
  • Promote the easing of regulatory burden on apprenticeship programs.

Taxes & Economic Growth

  • Aggressively pursue federal research funding to support local institutions and research capabilities in the Quad Cities region.
  • Maintain and grow investment and resources on the Rock Island Arsenal.

Regulation

  • Encourage a light-touch regulatory approach that emphasizes stability, predictability and fairness.
  • Promote the repeal of burdensome, outdated regulations that impact Quad Cities businesses.
  • Promote permitting reform.

Trade

  • Support targeted improvements in USMCA during the 6-year review process.
  • Support passage of new MTB, and reauthorization of other trade assistance programs.
