Project Update Q2 2022

The Quad Cities Chamber works with a variety of companies on relocating to or expanding in the region. Find information below on the business attraction and expansion projects the team worked on in the second quarter of 2022 and some highlights of our recent successes.

Fair Oaks Foods – Project Runway

  • Fair Oaks Foods will construct a state-of-the-art food production facility producing fully cooked bacon. The $134 million investment includes a 150,000 square-foot facility in the Eastern Iowa Industrial Center in Davenport and will create an estimated 247 new full-time jobs. The company plans to start operations in early 2024. This successful project earns the title of highest annual economic impact for generating an astounding $182 million in our region every year.

  • Agrisolutions expanded its production capacity by investing in a fully automated production line, brought in additional automation to their legacy line and continued to improve processes through lean activities resulting in an improved safety environment and added capacity to allow for hiring 15 new workers and expanding shifts.

There are a total of 72 projects to date for FY23 compared to 88 for the same period last year. In addition, staff hosted three site visits with the company representatives.
