Boomerang QC

Boomerang back & see what you’ve been missing

QC, That's Where former residents are coming back to our community because we offer an openness that makes people feel welcome, valued and respected; a pleasing balance of urban and natural; and a choice of things to do where people can gather with neighbors and feel like they belong. QC, That's Where affordable meets fun! Where you can create your own path; with access to affordable housing, a wide variety of entertainment and satisfying workplaces - all these enhance everyday well-being, plus people can afford to buy, rent, live and play in the QC. It offers access to the world, and with a central location and affordability it's easy to get to where you want to be. Even better is that living here brings all aspects of life within reach - our entertainment, connection to the outdoors, festivals, little league and volleyball tourneys, our craft beer industry, restaurants and all the other leisure activities that make the QC what it is. QC well-being is heart and soul, peace of mind and worry-free freedom

But don't just take it from us, see why these natives boomeranged back to the Quad Cities!

Despite living in many places throughout the U.S. none have felt as much like home to Kim Martin as the Quad Cities. Since returning in 2012, she’s made her mark on the area by opening QC Fuel, a coffee shop with healthy alternatives and protein shakes. Now with four locations, Kim is the perfect example of why the QC is a great place to open and grow your business.

To pursue his big-city dreams Shaun Taylor left the QC, but eventually, the ease of a smaller city attracted him and his wife, Tiffany, back to the area. The East Moline natives saw the place they grew up had transformed while they were away, with stronger schools, expanded housing options and a diverse range of recreational activities. Quad Cities quickly became the perfect place to raise their family.

College sweethearts Matt and Alana Carroll married after graduating from St. Ambrose University and quickly moved to Nashville to pursue career opportunities. As their priorities shifted after having children, they decided to move back to the area for the support of their family and friends. The flexible employers, affordable amenities and easier commutes they found in the QC have let them devote more of their lives to the thing they love the most: family.

After seventeen years of living in Chicago, Matt Rebro and his wife knew it was the right time to move their family back to Bettendorf for their children’s education. The development, growth and dedication he’s seen in the entire Quad Cities region since they’ve returned have given him a new perspective on the place he grew up. The vibrancy he’s seen in the QC has reinvigorated his hope for the future of the region.
