Finally, he will give an update on the projects he’s tackled to date.

Join us as we welcome the Mayors from across the region to discuss the plans for each city individually and how they are unifying to move our region forward, increasing our capacity and impact for economic opportunity for all.

These meetings are open to Chamber members only, and are held the first Thursday of every month from Noon - 1:00 p.m. During the workshop, members will receive a press release template and samples as well as a local media list.

Legislative Coffee & Conversation

Legislative coffee events provide Chamber members and their employees the opportunity to establish relationships with key policymakers and voice views on issues moving in the legislature. Utilize this event to connect with legislators and Chamber members to advocate for policies that will support growing the Quad Cities economy.
Networking from 7:45 am to 8:15 am. Program begins at 8:15 am and ends at 9:00 am.

YPQC at Night: A St. Patrick's Celebration - Bent River Brewing Co.

Bent River Brewing Co. in Rock Island is a brewing and bottling outpost of a local craft brewery offering a tasting room & occasional live music. With a live DJ and St. Patrick’s Day specials, this YPQC at Night celebration will be a great way to explore the nightlife in Rock Island.

About YPQC at Night:
Join friends and other young Quad Citizens after work for eats, drinks, conversation and fun at YPQC at Night in the Quad Cities. This bi-monthly YP event rotates between hot spots throughout the region. After a long day at work, YPQC at Night gives young Quad Citizens the ability to socialize with friends, make new contacts, and experience Quad Cities nightlife.

The Quad Cities Manufacturing Innovation Hub has access to a new Supply Chain Mapping (SCM) tool as part of the Illinois Defense Industry Adjustment program to help regional manufacturers and others in the defense industry supply chain better understand complex data related to defense spending in the region.

Overview of Funding Available for Lean 5S Training & Project Mentoring
Presented by Marc Schneider, Iowa State University CIRAS Lean Specialist


5S is one of the first tools that can be applied in a manufacturing environment to improve production through Lean Manufacturing techniques. 5S implementation helps to define the first rules to eliminate waste and maintain an efficient, safe, and organized manufacturing environment. 5S helps to streamline production and optimize efficiencies.

Not sure how Lean and 5S can benefit your company? Make plans to attend this information session featuring Marc Schneider, Lean Specialist from CIRAS, who will give a brief overview of the training and project mentoring funding available to our region’s businesses through the Illinois Defense Industry Adjustment Program grant. Time will be provided both before and afterward for networking.
