Mark your calendar now for the NDIA Iowa-Illinois Chapter’s 12th Annual Midwest Government Contracting Symposium to be held May 22-23 at the TaxSlayer Center, Moline. Once again the Quad Cities Chamber and Illinois Defense Industry Adjustment Program will serve as presenting sponsors for this event designed for businesses interested in government contracting opportunities.
Congress and the President have passed a $716 billion defense budget for 2019, the largest defense budget in history. The time is now to learn more about doing business with agencies located on the Rock Island Arsenal or contract opportunities issued by these agencies.
Key personnel and contracting staff from these Rock Island Arsenal agencies will be on hand for networking:
• Army Sustainment Command (ASC)
• Army Contracting Command-Rock Island (ACC-RI)
• Joint Munitions Command (JMC)
• Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems (PEO-EIS)
• US Army Corps of Engineers, RI District (COE-RI)
• Rock Island Arsenal Garrison
• Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center (JMTC)
Mr. Joshua Frank of RSM Federal will serve as the keynote speaker on day one of the symposium. Mr. Frank's presentations will share award-winning techniques and strategies that have directly helped small businesses win more than $2 billion in government contracts.

About the Illinois Defense Industry Adjustment (DIA) Program
The Illinois Defense Industry Adjustment (DIA) Program, of which the Chamber’s Quad Cities Manufacturing Innovation Hub is a part, was developed to help the state’s defense and manufacturing industries grow, diversify, and stay competitive when market forces change. The Illinois DIA Program covers five communities considered to be at high risk for those market force changes due to their ties to the defense industry, a high concentration of manufacturers or both. Areas include the Quad Cities, Rockford, northeastern Illinois, Peoria and southwestern Illinois.
