The Iowa Department of Education, in support of the Future Ready Iowa Initiative, is partnering with Elevate Advanced Manufacturing and the Iowa Association of Business and Industry (ABI) to develop promotional materials to highlight a wide range of high-paying and in-demand careers offered in the Advanced Manufacturing industry in Iowa.
A short 5-minute survey has been created to gather direct input from Iowa manufacturers of all types and sizes to aid in the development of these products, which will include not only descriptions of various positions, but also career pathways clearly showing how to enter and advance through a wide range of these exciting and fulfilling careers in Iowa. This initial survey will remain open until Tuesday, Feb. 27 at www.surveymonkey.com/r/IowaAdvancedManufacturing. Please share with colleagues or others with knowledge of the Advanced Manufacturing industry. The more responses received, the better the final product will be for our state!
In-person focus groups will also be hosted throughout the state during the months of March and April to further develop and validate project materials before a final product is scheduled for unveiling and release at ABI’s annual Taking Care of Business Conference scheduled for June 5-7, 2018 in Coralville, IA. Additional information about that event and registration details can be found at www.iowaabi.org and www.elevateiowa.com.
Your participation and support for this project are greatly appreciated. Any questions or feedback can be directed to Joe.Collins@iowa.gov and MFarrell@measuredintentions.com. Similar projects were successfully completed for Iowa’s Information Technology and Energy industries in 2017 and are available for viewing and download at SectorPartnerships.EducateIowa.gov. Together we can keep manufacturers strong, growing, and competitive!
