Ignite Quad Cities, a program of the Quad Cities Chamber, is here to connect you to resources, a network, and a community of like-minded individuals as you work to launch your startup or test new business ideas.

Ignite Quad Cities is for micro-enterprises, small businesses, innovators, and venture companies. Resources include technical assistance, access to capital, networks of like-minded individuals, and community partners. Working in coordination with our partners – the Quad Cities SCORE (Service Corp of Retired Executives) Chapter and the Illinois Small Business Development Center and Iowa Small Business Development Center – we help entrepreneurs in all stages and sizes.

Here are a few ways to get started:


Join an Ignite Quad Cities Meetup group to meet other entrepreneurs, mentors, and innovators all fueling, supporting and guiding our entrepreneurial culture, all FREE to attend: Ignite Quad Cities Entrepreneurs Meetup and Quad Cities Open Coffee.

Venture School:

Go through Quad Cities Venture School to validate the market and understand the best business model for your idea.  In six short weeks, with the assistance of mentors, you’ll use the lean startup methodology to de-risk starting your business.

The University of Iowa Venture School is accepting applications now for the spring program.  Can’t make it in person? An online version of the program will be held to allow innovative individuals across the state of Iowa to participate in the program, regardless of their location.

Venture School is designed to educate participants to gain marketing expertise and real-world knowledge and skills to help them launch their ideas. There will be two application deadlines.

January 16, for the Iowa City, Sioux City, and online locations.

February 6, for the Dubuque, Des Moines, and Quad Cities locations.
