Saturday night brings headliner Kacey Musgraves. Musgraves released her debut album at No.1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums Chart, has won two CMA awards, AND won two Grammys. This singer-songwriter has toured with artists from Willie Nelson and Alison Krauss to Katy Perry. Her new album drops June 23rd, and everyone from Rollingstone to The Tonight Show have been heaping praise on Musgraves in 2015.

Saturday night will also feature festival-circuit favorite Yonder Mountain String Band. This Colorado based band has logged nearly 17 years of playing music that pushes the envelope past Bluegrass into the realms of rock n’ roll and improvisation.

Friday night of River Roots Live will feature Mavis Staples. Mavis is a living legend in American music from Blues, Soul and Gospel. Staples is a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, a Grammy LifetimeAchievement Award winner, and a National Heritage Fellowship Awardrecipient. VH1 named her one of the 100 Greatest Women of Rock andRoll, and Rolling Stone listed her as one of the 100 Greatest Singersof All Time. Her previous album, the Tweedy-produced "You Are NotAlone," won the Grammy Award for Best Americana Album in 2011, addinga remarkable new chapter to an already historic career.

Hellogoodbye, a California based indie pop/rock band, will stake to the stage Friday evening, as well. Veterans of the Daytrotter Barnstormer tour and having opened for Paramore, Hellgoodbye is a hot new band that will be playing their first show in the Quad Cities. With an active and growing fan base and a blessing from Sean Moeller of Daytrotter, Hellogoodbye is poised for more big things in 2015.

The Suffers area ten-piece band from Houston, TX who are redefining the sound of Gulf Coast Soul, intertwining elements of Classic American Soul with Rock & Roll. Both sonically and visually arresting, the large ensemble packs each position of the rhythm section and horn section with a level of talent and taste that provides the perfect foundation for singer Kam Franklin's massive voice.

Thirteen years can put a hell of a lot of wear and tear on even the hardiest of rock ’n’ roll bands. But don’t be fooled byall those hundreds of thousands of miles on Micky & the Motorcars’ odometer. Micky and Gary, who by their own admission, haven’t been this fired up about playing together since they first rode south from the Whitecloud Mountains of Idaho to stake their claim to the Texas and wider Americana music scenes.
