Vibrant Credit Union is an 80 year old startup company, and today, with 70% of their employees under the age of 40, they are rewriting the script for financial institutions.

Vibrant was created with 8 employees from John Deere Harvester Works coming together with only $40 in assets. In 2004, Deere Harvester Credit Union converted to DHCU Community Credit Union, and today the recently-rebranded Vibrant Credit Union has grown to over 40,000 members and more than $500 million in assets.

"Young talent is deeply ingrained in our culture,” says Steve Ducey, Chief Experience Officer, Vibrant Credit Union. Vibrant has many programs set in place to develop YP employees, including a leadership development program, tuition reimbursement, corporate cruise, job shadowing, branch ambassador days, departmental training and individual development plans. A dedicated staff development team made up of all YPs conduct internal trainings. Over half of the leadership team and the majority of midlevel management are filled with YPs.

The culture at Vibrant is aimed at harnessing the collective power of a ‘one team’ approach. They allow individuals the opportunity to showcase their talent and initiatives in a not-afraid-to-fail environment.
