Venture School is six-week bootcamp for entrepreneurs that helps reduce the risk and timeline to startup success. Through the course of Venture School, teams of entrepreneurs work to prove out their business model, ensuring the right product market fit and identifying revenue models. Through customer research and consistent real-time feedback from mentors and instructors, Venture School students identify risks and pivot their business model to maximize their likelihood of success. Venture School is available in the Quad Cities through a partnership between Eastern Iowa Community Colleges, the Quad Cities Chamber, and University of Iowa John Pappjohn Entrepreneurial Center.
Market Research Databases
The Quad Cities Chamber, in partnership with Eastern Iowa Community Colleges, offers access to a series of market research databases. Business Information for Growth (BIG) gives users access to five industry databases that provide vital company information on U.S. and international firms, industry sector analysis, and household demographic information. SizeUp crunches millions of data points from local public and private sources to provide four main tools: performance benchmarking, competitive assessment, best places to advertise, and demographic data.
