The Quad Cities Chamber Helps Businesses Grow
Our region’s existing business base forms the foundation for local employment opportunities, stabilizes our tax base and serves as key engines for our overall economic growth. Because 80 percent of new jobs and capital investment in our region will come from existing businesses, we work to support local companies, helping them expand and add new jobs and investment throughout the region. This includes providing access to market research tools, specialized training and workshops, legislative resources as well as business networking opportunities.
Call us at (563) 322-1706 to learn how we can help you meet your business growth goals.
The Quad Cities Chamber, through its economic development division Quad Cities First, also regularly meets with 150 local executives in our region’s core industries to identify opportunities and obstacles related to company growth as part of our Business Connections program. We look for any opportunities to help companies expand or innovate as well.
The program offers one-call assistance to connect businesses with resources, partnerships and tools to address their needs. As a result, we are regularly able to provide solutions, from expertise through the Critical Talent Network, help navigating through red tape, market research assistance, incentive information, site location help, and more.
Business Connections visits are in-person meetings with company decision-makers conducted in conjunction with city and other local economic development partners. The visits are primarily focused on our region's core industries of advanced manufacturing, food processing/agriculture innovation, defense, logistics and corporate office and support services.
In order to uncover growth opportunities or barriers, representatives follow a survey format of questions used by other chambers and cities across the country to guide the conversation. The team can customize some questions based on geographic area or the company’s industry. Business Connections visits are completely free and confidential, and you don’t need to be a Chamber member to take advantage of the service.
