When would a business host a ribbon cutting?
- If you are within the first year of opening your business
- If you have expanded your business
- If your business is celebrating a milestone anniversary (such as 5, 10, 25-year anniversaries)
What does the Quad Cities Chamber do to assist with my business celebration?
- Provides the giant scissors and ribbon to cut
- Takes a photo of the ribbon cutting
- Shares the photo on Facebook, tagging your business
- Provides a matted photo and ribbon donated by OneStep and hand-delivered by a Chamber Ambassador
- Notifies city officials and local media of the occasion
- Milestone anniversaries include a plaque presentation and recognition in Chamber enews and social media
What does my business need to do to prepare for our celebration?
- Coordinate the date and time with the Chamber first
- Ribbon cuttings require a 10 working day advance notice
- The Chamber will host only one ribbon cutting per day and must be between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. Friday
- Complete the form below
- Prepare a press release or fact sheet about the celebration and post it in the Member Information Center (MIC)
