Annual Capitol Visits
Every year, the Chamber organizes a delegation to visit each of our three capitols (Washington, Springfield, and Des Moines). Our aim is to advocate for the needs of our communities, build partnerships to help accomplish our goals, and to provide an opportunity for our members to interact and engage with policymakers and experts. In addition to meeting with our own elected officials, we meet with leadership in the legislatures as well as our governors and key agencies.

Annual Bi-State Delegation/Rock Island Arsenal Reception
Each year, the Chamber arranges for Iowa and Illinois state legislators to visit the Rock Island Arsenal and discuss how our states can support this vital institution. Following their meetings, the Chamber hosts a reception for our state elected officials including commanders and civilian leaders from the Arsenal as well as business and community leaders. The RIA is an integral part of our economy, and we encourage everyone to attend this event to demonstrate to our elected officials how important the RIA is for our community.
