Public Policy

The Quad Cities Chamber is a catalyst for policy advocacy at the local, state and federal level. With 85% of our membership having 50 employees or less, advocacy is a critical resource that we offer to our members. We are committed to advocating public policies that enhance our economic competitiveness, increase investment, and benefit our members and communities.

All of our positions and work are member-driven. Our Pro-economy Policy Agenda is created based on member feedback from: a series on annual input sessions open to all Chamber members, an annual electronic survey, data and information from other divisions of the Chamber, and comments from members throughout the year. Using this feedback, the Business Advocacy Council drafts the Policy Agenda and state and federal priorities, and recommends these for the Board of Directors’ adoption.

Public Policy Advocate

An opportunity for members to make an impact on our region by advocating for legislation and policy that will enhance our economic competitiveness, increase investment, and benefit our members.

As a Public Policy Advocate, you'll receive additional updates from our government affairs team informing you of timely opportunities to communicate with policy decision-makers. You can choose which and how many things you want to engage in, making this a great way to get involved whether you are completely new to politics or a seasoned pro! If you're interested in becoming a Public Policy Advocate, contact Henry Marquard, Director of Government Affairs.
