Adriane Jacoby is the Global Business Lead for John Deere. In her professional life she develops processes and is instituting an organizational model that will enable Deere & Company to adhere to the regulatory requirements of the various governmental institutions with which they work. As the President of the Junior League of the Quad Cities she promotes volunteerism, mobilizes and develops the capacity of its women volunteers, and improves the region through fundraising and community investment.

Jacoby, a finalist for YP of the Year at the 2015 Community Impact Awards is a native of the east coast, moving to the Quad Cities in 2006 to accept a position with Deere & Company. She says she found it initially challenging to grow her network but once she found avenues to volunteer and give back everything became much easier.

"I started attending YPN events, joined John Deere’s New Employee Network and began volunteering with United Way and Junior Achievement,” says Jacoby. "Within a few years after moving to

the Quad Cities, I joined Junior League of the Quad Cities and started another new position within Deere; at which point my involvement and knowledge for the community was elevated and my passion for the Quad Cities began to grow.”

Under her leadership, the Junior League of the Quad Cities unveiled the I AM initiative which has resulted in a 52% growth in membership and an $81,000 investment back into the community.

"A developing trend was taking place in large markets for mud obstacle course races,” says Jacoby. "Taking a calculated risk, I helped initiate and lead the development as co-chair of our first inaugural I AM Strong 5k mudventure race.” She finishes, "This community event was designed to find a new way to bring our organization back to the forefront of the community by promoting JLQC’s mission, capitalizing on market trends and helping to facilitate the Quad Cities as a cool and creative region. "

Come cheer on Adriane and the other finalists at the 2015 Community Impact Awards, May 28 at the Stern Center in Rock Island.
