Illinois Quad Cities municipal candidates
The Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce enjoys strong working partnerships with our elected officials at the local, state and federal levels. We look to our elected leaders to advance public policy that supports a competitive business climate; a skilled workforce; modern infrastructure and transportation systems; and quality of place initiatives as outlined in the Chamber Public Policy Platform.
The municipal election in Illinois is April 4, 2017. Polls are open from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Find information on voting and polling locations.
With many incumbents not seeing reelection, we will see many new leaders in our region. Of the ten Chamber Member Cities in Illinois, there will be five new mayors with a potential for seven and sixteen new aldermen with a potential for 28. It’s important that you participate in shaping the Quad Cities.
The Quad Cities Chamber held a forum for the Moline and Rock Island mayoral candidates to provide information on how they would work with their councils and regional partners to grow the Quad Cities economy. Watch the video here.
