Learn about Iowa Tax Increment Financing program at forum

Don’t miss your chance to learn more how Tax Increment Financing is used in the state of Iowa as a powerful and flexible tool for local community and economic developers at the upcoming Professional Developers of Iowa (PDI) legislative forum.  The event will be jointly hosted by the Quad Cities Chamber on Friday, Nov. 30, at the Scott Community College Urban Campus in Davenport. 

This forum – one of 12 across the state offered by PDI – will consist of two sessions.  Join us for one or both:  

Legislative Forum: 7:30-9 a.m. 
Learn about PDI's 2019 legislative priorities, including, but not limited to, economic development incentives, workforce recruitment and retention programs and water quality solutions. This session is ideal for local elected officials, economic development practitioners, community colleges, utility companies, and other economic development partners.

Iowa TIF 101: 9-10 a.m.
See a visual exploration of Tax Increment Financing and how it's responsibly used in the State of Iowa as a powerful and flexible tool for local communities and economic developers. This session is ideal for local elected officials, economic development practitioners, community colleges, utility companies, city council members, county supervisors, city/county clerks, school board members, school administrators, bankers, real estate developers, and other economic development partners.
