Please help us welcome Glen Schwab to the role of Executive Director of the Quad Cities Manufacturing Innovation Hub. He comes to us with 32 years of manufacturing background, including extensive experience in supply chain management, operations, and factory management in North America, Europe, and Asia. He retired in early 2018 from Deere & Company, where he most recently served as Director of Enterprise Supply Chain Operations responsible for enterprise-led direct-material sourcing, risk management, supplier rating process, strategic planning, and supplier diversity.
Schwab received his BS/BA from Bowling Green State University and in 2002 completed the Advanced Executive Development Program from Northwestern University. He also serves on the Board of the Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center, Michigan State University Supply Management Advisory Board, and St. Ann’s Catholic Church Parish Council.
“Technology is transforming manufacturing at a rapid pace,” said Schwab. “The Quad Cities Manufacturing Innovation Hub is providing regional business with tools and support to plan for, and compete in, a digital manufacturing environment.”
Schwab replaces interim Executive Director Mike Coughlin, who left for another opportunity in our area in late January. He will be based primarily at the Chamber’s Moline office. Contact him at firstname.lastname@example.org..
