We work behind the scenes all year long to advocate for a business climate where you can succeed. With 85% of our membership having 50 employees or less, advocacy is a critical resource that we offer to our members. The Quad Cities Chamber actively engages with government officials on all levels to promote good politics that will help grow the Quad Cities economy.
Our public policy platform is designed around the following core principles: Business Climate and Economic Competitiveness, Education and Workforce, Infrastructure and Transportation, and Quality of Place.
Your voice can make a difference. We provide opportunities for you to connect with our elected officials through the Chamber's advocacy events, and discuss the issues that are most pressing to your business. Through Chamber, you can help shape the policy that will strengthen the Quad Cities regional economy.

2018 Advocacy Events
Annual Capitol Visits
Every year, the Chamber organizes a delegation to visit each of our three capitols (Washington, Springfield, and Des Moines). Our aim is to advocate for the needs of our communities, build partnerships to help accomplish our goals, and to provide an opportunity for our members to interact and engage with policymakers and experts. In addition to meeting with our own elected officials, we meet with leadership in the legislatures as well as our governors and key agencies.
Des Moines 2018 Trip - February 7 - 8
Springfield 2018 Trip - March 7 - 8
Washington D.C. 2018 Trip - March 21 - 23
Legislative luncheon events provide Chamber members and their employees the opportunity to establish relationships with key policymakers and voice views on issues moving in the legislature. Networking and a facilitated question and answer session offer firsthand information on upcoming legislation and House and Senate committee activities. Utilize this event to connect with legislators and Chamber members to advocate for policies that will support growing the Quad Cities economy.
