Ignite Quad Cities, an initiative of the Quad Cities Chamber aimed at fostering a culture of entrepreneurism and connecting startups to resources, is launching a new event series: Ignite Quad Cities Startup Community Spotlight.
The Ignite Quad Cities Community Spotlight series will feature the resources available in individual communities throughout the Quad Cities.
The first in the series will spotlight Rock Island, IL and will be held on Tuesday, November 28 at The Establishment Theatre, 220 19th St., Rock Island from 6:00-7:30 p.m. A panel of local entrepreneurs will share their journeys as business owners, and the resources and tactics they have used as they’ve built their companies.
The panelists are: Jan Masamoto, President, JTM Concepts; Courtney Loftin, Owner, Inner Sanctum Studios; Jeff Adamson, Executive Producer, ComedySportz; Phil Dingledein, Director, dphilms; and Sean Farley, Owner, Switch Stance.
In addition to the panelists, Chandler Poole, Community and Economic Development Director for the City of Rock Island, Brett Gardella, Economic Development Manager, City of Rock Island, and Erik Reader, Executive Director of the Rock Island Downtown Partnership will talk about startup resources available in Rock Island.
Future event dates are Monday, January 29 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m., with a spotlight on Moline, and March 20 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. with a spotlight on the City of East Moline.
Events are free to attend and open to the public.
