A message from Kristin Glass, Interim CEO:
Last week over 1,000 Chamber members gathered at our Annual Meeting to celebrate the successes of the past year. In the words of our outgoing board chair, Rob Woodall, Arconic, “A vision is achieved through a culmination of small wins.”
During the past year, the Quad Cities Chamber influenced many wins that make an impact on our region. I thank you, our Chamber members, for investing in a stronger regional economy and more dynamic community through your membership with the Quad Cities Chamber.
In 2016, our regional economic development team helped companies small and large add 1,210 new jobs. We helped members deepen business relationships and find new client prospects through the 200+ events we hosted. Through our advocacy work, and the involvement of our members, we secured Exelon in the Quad Cities region. The Chamber, along with hundreds of community members from organizations of all sectors and sizes continued to advance Q2030. YPQC, the Chamber’s young professional’s organization, embraced the spirit of Q2030 this year, seeking new ways to build community collaborations, increase regional pride and seek a more inclusive community.
I invite you to view our Annual Report here and take a few moments to see for yourself what we accomplished this year together.
