BETTENDORF, Iowa – Family Resources will host the 10th Annual DOVE golf tournament on Friday, June 9, at Palmer Hills Golf Course in Bettendorf, Iowa. The DOVE (Domestic Violence Ended) tournament raises funds to support Family Resources’ domestic violence services.
In 2016, Family Resources’ SafePath Survivor Resources program served more than 10,000 survivors of domestic and sexual abuse. State budget cuts threaten our ability to provide necessary services to survivors such as sheltering, counseling, education, and advocacy. This fundraiser helps Family Resources to continue critical services in eastern Iowa and western Illinois.
Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. and at 8:00 a.m. golfers will hear from a domestic abuse survivor starting a new life after receiving our services. Shotgun starts the tournament at 9 a.m. The silent auction and raffle will be open until the awards ceremony at 2 p.m. Awards will be given for a hole in one, longest drive for men and longest drive for women.
New this year is the opportunity to register all male teams. Male, female and co-ed teams are welcome. Register online at www.famres.org/calendar.
