DAVENPORT, Iowa – Adding to the plethora of great family entertainment already available at Modern Woodmen Park, the Quad Cities River Bandits have unveiled the Genesis Kidz Koaster at the Friendliest Ballpark in America for the 2017 season. River Bandits owner Dave Heller and Genesis Chief Marketing Officer Ken Croken were on-hand for the ride’s debut over the weekend. All proceeds from the coaster will go to Genesis to support youth causes.
The Spinning Family Coaster features a figure eight track design and free spinning vehicles to give riders a unique riding experience like no other of its size and type. It is the only Spinning Coaster in Iowa. The ride is designed for the whole family to enjoy and riders 36" and taller may ride when accompanied by an adult.
“It’s a great ride,” Heller said. “Even better, we’re continuing to help do great things for kids in the Quad Cities.”
All revenue from the ride will go to Genesis to support Genesis Foundation youth programs, the Genesis Neo-Natal Care program, Flu-Free Quad Cities and Camp Genesis. The coaster will be open during all River Bandits games, weather permitting, and costs $6 per rider.
“It’s a family coaster with kids in its name,” said Croken. “This is an extension of our relationship with the Quad Cities River Bandits and a collaboration that will continue to benefit kids throughout the Quad Cities.”
The next chance to ride the coaster comes on May 15, when the Bandits return for a three-game, midweek homestand hosting the Burlington Bees. For tickets, call 563-324-3000, visit riverbandits.com or stop by the Modern Woodmen Park box office. Visit the team website for more information on the coaster.
